<title>Different accountinfo behavior on Win11 builds</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Hello,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a question regarding duplicate detection and archived devices in OCS Inventory.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Environment:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;OCS Agent version: 2.4.0.0&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;OCS Server version: Unknown&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here is the situation:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;A computer is archived from &quot;All Computers&quot;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Windows 11 is clean-installed.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;The OCS agent is reinstalled on the same machine.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;However, the behavior differs depending on the Windows build version.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For PCs with OS version &quot;10.0.26200&quot;:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;A completely new inventory entry is created in &quot;All Computers&quot;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Information such as last seen time, computer name, user, and operating system is newly generated.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;User-defined account information (such as User, Department, Asset Number, TAG) is NOT inherited from the old archived record.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;For PCs with OS version &quot;10.0.26100&quot;:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;The normal inventory information (last seen time, computer name, user, OS, etc.) does NOT inherit the previous data.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;However, user-defined account information IS inherited from the old archived record.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;I compared the hardware information, network information, and management data between the two systems, but I could not find any meaningful differences other than the Windows build version.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I found documentation related to:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;&quot;Managing duplicates computers&quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;&quot;AUTO_DUPLICATE_LVL&quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;The documentation says that OCS can detect reinstalled or renamed computers automatically, and duplicate detection depends on matching values.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;However, I am not sure whether this behavior is actually related to duplicate detection, because only the user-defined account information is inherited while the normal inventory information is not.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My questions are:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Could there be any known reason why this different behavior occurs depending on the Windows build version (10.0.26200 vs 10.0.26100)?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Is there any internal logic related to duplicate detection, archived devices, or accountinfo inheritance that could explain this behavior?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Could this behavior be related to hardware UUID, SID, registry values, or another identifier used internally by OCS Inventory?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thank you.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Modifying the SSN field read by the agent.</title>

<description>I'm a new OCS user. I'm looking for information on how to change the data sent by the OCSInventory Agent for Windows to the server. Specifically, I'm looking for information on changing the SSN value. I tried to do this through the Plugin directory and the PS script, defining only one value for the BIOS group. This resulted in no values being sent for this group; its data is blank.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Is it possible to modify the values read by the Agent before sending them to the server? If so, how should I do this correctly?</description>

<title>Erreur installation paquet - kill Windows process</title>

Cela fait longtemps que je n'ai pas utilisé OCS pour faire un déploiement de logiciel.&lt;br /&gt;
Je pense que ça date d'avant notre dernière mise à jour ...&lt;br /&gt;
Server : 2.12.3&lt;br /&gt;
Client : 2.8&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Voici le souci :&lt;br /&gt;
J'ai un script, qui fonctionnait sans problème avant.&lt;br /&gt;
Première étape : je kill un process de Windows.&lt;br /&gt;
Deuxième étape : j'installe le logiciel voulu.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
J'ai le code erreur exit_code_1&lt;br /&gt;
Il plante au moment de tuer le process (le logiciel en cours d'utilisation, dans mon exemple notepad++).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Voici mon script, en fichier .bat (script très simple...)&lt;br /&gt;

<title>OCS Inventory SNMP return nothing</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Hello,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have OCS Inventory with ARP enabled, and it works great. However, I’m trying to enable SNMP, and although everything seems configured correctly, it doesn’t work.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I tried running the agent locally with on a debian 12:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;pre&gt;
&lt;/pre&gt;&lt;p&gt;ocsinventory-agent --local=/tmp/&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;…but the result is the same: ARP works, but SNMP finds 0 OID.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here is an example of the log:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;pre&gt;

<title>Deployment Failed / Success</title>

<description>When deploying the OCS agent (Tool Version 2.3.0.0), I receive a ‘failed’ error. In the deployment tools log, an error is detected: 'Host &amp;lt;PC323&amp;gt; *** ERROR *** Unable to open or read setup log file on remote host: The system cannot find the file specified.' However, the OCS-Windows-Agent-Setup-x86.log log says ‘SUCCESS: OCS Inventory NG Agent 2.8.0.0 successfully installed on 09/26/2025 at 9:08:03 ;-)’. I can access \\PC323\C$\ProgramData from the server. PSEXEC also works correctly since the installation was done via PSEXEC. This is annoying from a management perspective. I am never sure that the agent has been installed... Any ideas? Thanks</description>

<title>Retrieve extra info from Android Agent</title>

Thanks for your extensive and great work with OCS Inventory.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This is our current setup:&lt;br /&gt;
Version OCSReports: 2.7 (Running on Debian GNU/Linux server)&lt;br /&gt;
OCS Inventory NG android Agent version 2.7&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We are using in a production server since some time without problems. We have windows, linux and macOS agents, and several standard and custom plugins deployed working fine.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Now we're trying to extend the use to android phones also. We've tested the agent, it's working fine, but we would like to obtain some other information (for example the lastpublicip plugin)...I can't find information regarding the plugins deployment for android. Maybe we can just run some scripts in Android and extract the contents or just upload the results...&lt;br /&gt;
Could you please tell me if that's possible and how to advance on that?&lt;br /&gt;
We're looking for a setup for standard users (no adb, termux, or root access), but if requires something else we could evalute it of course.&lt;br /&gt;

<title>Deployment and Execution on Linux Clients</title>

According to the documentation, package deployment and script execution have only been tested with the OCS Inventory NG Agent for Windows service. It also states that using the login script method may cause issues, such as blocking due to background downloads and lack of administrative privileges.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Given this limitation for Windows clients, I would like to ask:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Is the package deployment and script execution feature fully supported and functional on Linux clients? Are there any known issues or special considerations when using this feature on Linux systems?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

<title>Plugins don't send data to Server</title>

<description>Hello, i installed OCS inventory on Docker&lt;br /&gt;
The inventory is sended and received but plugins are not executed...&lt;br /&gt;

I installed the &amp;quot;PowershellVersion&amp;quot; one but when i try to do an inventory, nothing get added to the database (on the powershellversion table&lt;br /&gt;

<title>1hour to send the inventory to the server</title>

<title>Probleme d'inventaire</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Bonjour a tous ,&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Je rencontre le probleme suivant .&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Nous avons un instance OCS sur Docker .&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;L'ensemble a&amp;nbsp;de l'instance a été generé par docker compose&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Notre probleme est le suivant .&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Le machine contact bien le serveur mais l'inventaire lui ne se fait pas&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;Auriez vous des pistes de recherche car je suis un peux perdu la&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Dans le fichier de log de l'agent sur les poste j'ai <title>how to deploy OCS PKG for Intune ?</title>

I would like to deploy on mass MacOS, the OCS Agent for Mac in Intune&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I packaged the PKG but when I transfer it in intune it says Value can't be empty&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When checking signature with the Terminal (pkgutil --check-signature) : no signature&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
testing with another pkg app : no problem, signature ok&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Any idea ?</description>

<title>Prevent OcsService.exe file from disappearing</title>

on a growing number of our machines, the agent stops sending the inventory to the server because at some point the OCS Service can't be launched anymore after the file OCSService.exe disappears for some mysterious reason.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The installation is fine at this point because I can just copy the missing file back and it can be restarted again.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For more context, we're running the v2.10.1 agent and the v2.12.1 server and the issue happens to machines that are not always on our LAN (WFH laptops, etc.) and hence often they will not be able to contact the OCS server.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So is there a way to prevent the OCSService from disappearing in this context?&lt;br /&gt;
And what's a best practice to do the inventory of remote machines with OCS?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

<title>Agents cannot be deployed on the network</title>

<description>Hey, I'm currently doing an internship and my job is to deploy ocs inventory on the network. My ocs 2.12.1 server is on debian 12. I've installed an agent 2.10.1.0 manually on a windows machine to check that everything was working, so far no problem. Now I'm getting down to the serious business of deploying my agent on the network using the agent deployment tool. I added psexec, putty and pscp in the options, then I added the range of ip addresses on which I want to deploy my agents (I don't use the active directory, because some computers on the network aren't connected to the domain), then I followed the official documentation for the rest as well as several different tutorials and here I am at the moment of deploying by pressing start and that's when the problems start.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here are the 2 error messages I may encounter:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Host &amp;lt;172.16.142.10&amp;gt; *** ERROR *** Connecting remote host: The network path was not found.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
I have all admin right, firewall was check thats not seem to be an issue. Im on this for 2 days actualy im stuck.&lt;br /&gt;

<title>Server and Agent cant communicate HTTP 403</title>

<description>Hi everyone,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I am having an issue when sending the agent's info on the server. I get an http 403 error when trying to access to the http://myServerIp/ocsinventory.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When installing the agent and choosing the address, I am making sure it is in the correct way (aka http://myServerIp/ocsinventory)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
However the server can't receive the agent's info.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The OcsReports panel seems to be installed proprely and correctly. I have fully access to http://myServerIp/ocsreports.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I put the correct database name, username and password in the configuration files.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After checking the agent's logs, i can see that there is an http error 403, http://myServerIP/ocsinventory access being forbidden.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I have tried searching on the internet but i haven't found any solution, and I have reinstalled a second time to server to make sure I installed the server correctly.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here's a list of what ive tried :&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Updated my system&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Install php extensions and packages required by the server&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Install and enable perl modules&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Create a database&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Download, configurate the setup.sh (with correct db user and db password) and install&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Configurate (put the correct db name, db user and db password) and enable the 3 .conf files&lt;br /&gt;
- Change the ownership of &amp;nbsp;the ocsinventory-reports directory to www-data user, and change the permission to 755&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- And finally finishing the installation on http://MyServerIp/ocsreports, and delete the installer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Please help&lt;br /&gt;

It appears the macOS packager is no longer available for download and has been replaced with (OCSNG-Unix-Packager-1.0). Is there any documentation on how to package with the config and sh files? I am trying to deploy Mac agent 2.10.0 using Jamf and have no idea where to begin. I deployed the agent to my Windows fleet using Intune with no issues.</description>

Is it possible to establish the communication between OCS server and the client's agent in a server initiated way? We have a few machines running in the www for which it is much easier to let the server connect to them instead of making the server reachable for their agents.&lt;br /&gt;

<title>Remontée d'inventaire</title>

J'ai une petite question concernant la remontée d'inventaire d'OCS Inventory.&lt;br /&gt;
En effet, j'ai configuré mon serveur OCS qui est fonctionnel. J'ai donc effectué le déploiement de l'agent OCS Windows sur les postes de mon parc informatique.&lt;br /&gt;
Les machines remontent correctement sur le serveur mais lorsque les machines sont éteintes et redémarrées, l'inventaire ne se refait pas.&lt;br /&gt;
Il faut que je relance à la main l'agent avec la configuration qu'il faut.&lt;br /&gt;
Sauriez vous m'aider a ce sujet pour que je n'ai pas a devoir le refaire manuellement ?&lt;br /&gt;

It happens that all of the sudden, the agent stops to communicate and there is no information to understand the problem on logs.&lt;br /&gt;
