Hi there!
Thanks for your extensive and great work with OCS Inventory.

This is our current setup:
Version OCSReports: 2.7 (Running on Debian GNU/Linux server)
OCS Inventory NG android Agent version 2.7

We are using in a production server since some time without problems. We have windows, linux and macOS agents, and several standard and custom plugins deployed working fine.

Now we're trying to extend the use to android phones also. We've tested the agent, it's working fine, but we would like to obtain some other information (for example the lastpublicip plugin)...I can't find information regarding the plugins deployment for android. Maybe we can just run some scripts in Android and extract the contents or just upload the results...
Could you please tell me if that's possible and how to advance on that?
We're looking for a setup for standard users (no adb, termux, or root access), but if requires something else we could evalute it of course.

Hello,

It would be great any kind of option to import settings without user interaction, like putting a file in a folder and automatically import settings or maybe call to an android intent and starting the import process without user interaction.

J'ai réalisé la configuration de l'application APK "OCS-NG Agent v.2.7" cependant lors de l'envoi de l'inventaire j'ai les erreurs suivantes :

- "Httpcommuication error code 308"

- "Httpcommuicationerrorcode 401"

Je n'ai pas les notions nécessaires pour débloquer la situation pouvez-vous me guider ?

There is no error in apache2 service, and I've already installed the SSL certificate just like the official documentation requires, but the error still remains, I'm trying on an Android 10.

I'm on a VPN and there is no problem using Windows' Agent, Linux's Agent and Mac's Agent... but Android's Agent don't pass to the server

At OCS' log, there's no error, but in apache2's log there's 1 error:

SSL for android mobiles

Hello everybody,

I have set up an OCS inventory server on AWS, and I send the inventory of the computers via SSL with a certificate. If I don't have the certificate on the computers, the inventory doesn't work, so far so good.

However on Android devices it seems that it is not necessary to use the certificate, I have activated in the android agent the SSL option, and makes the call to https://, when I send the inventory from the mobile shows the message "NO_ACCOUNT_UPDATE", but surprisingly the mobile manages to send inventory information to the server.

Is there a different way SSL works for android mobiles where you don't need to have the certificate locally to be able to send the inventory like on laptops?

Après installation de l'agent Android sur une Galaxy Tab A, l'inventaire est bien réalisé mais le n° de série ne remonte pas.(unknown) pas plus que le nom de la tablette (SM-T510-388629b30ecc7c05) ou l'adresse mac.

Du coup c'est pas très intéressant.

Est-ce qu'il y a quelque chose à faire pour corriger cela ?

The problem is that MAC addresses informed by all android devices are wrong. It's the same mac for all devices: 02:00:00:00:00:00

When I check in the device agent, the address is wrong too.

J'ai un serveur fonctionnant sur une 2.4 (je vais passer en 2.5 bientôt). Mon serveur fait du deploiment sur des machines windows via du https et le certificat qui va bien, Jusque la pas de problème.

Je souhaiterais aussi inventorier des smartphones sous android. Pour le moment, j'ai installé l'agent via le playstore sur un smartphone de test connecté en wifi à mon reseau, mais je bloque un peu au niveau de la configuration de l'agent sur le smartphone:

Au niveau de l'url du serveur, je peux mettre

http://monserveur.mondomaine.local/ocsinventory

ou bien je dois obligatoirement faire communiquer avec du https ?

I have downloaded in Github the Android version, sign the APK, add the system signatures, aligned the APK and pushed to /system/app/ in a tablet that is rootable. When I inventoried the tablet it missing most of the softwares that are installed. What could be the problem? What apps/softwares does OCS Inventory NG Agent for Android send to the server? Do they actually inventored system apps?

We are trying to install OCS Inventory Agent in a Samsung Galaxy J5 with Andoid 6.0.1

The app crashes and it closes avery time we try to do anything, and nothig happends.

requiero de su colaboración, en la empresa contamos con una cantidad de 1000 tablet marca lenovo tab 2 A730 y todas vienen de fabrica con el sistema operativo android 4.4 pero se han ido actualizando y varias tienen la 5.0 que esta presentando problemas con subir al servidor de ocs, si sube una, no sube la otra, salen con el mismo nombre.

i tried to install OCS on my System. I have OCS-Server with Version 2.2beta1 and i use the Android Agent Version 2.1.6

Everytime i want to inventory my Tablet it says "Unknown Format (magic Number 683c)"
