Is there any OCS agent for ESXi hosts?

Hello everyone,

I want to use this awesome software on ESXi Hosts. Is there any possibilty to install it?.

Do you know any alternative to get an inventory for ESXi host integrated with OCS?.

Hi,

Activate snmp on your ESXi then use snmp with unix agent. Inventories are sent to ocs server.

Hi Frank, you saud about activate snmp on ESXi (easy step) and then use unix agent. The problem I see is because if I want to use the agent, firstly I'll need to install perl and some modules via cpan, so, how do I do to install it if esxcli doesn't use yum or apt-get? I know I could download perl sources and compile, but I'll have the same problem with the compilers. Thanks in advance for your help
