Temviewer plugin does not work

Hello,

I tried to use the teamviewer plugin. So, I downloaded the zip, unzipped it and installed it via the OCS gui. This all went fine without any error. I also added the agent plugin to the agent. An created xml via /local parameter shows that the teamviewer information is transferred. But I can't see anything at the gui.

Did I miss something? What about the Map.pm and the teamviewer.conf from the APCAHE folder? Are they copied automatically at the installation?

Regards

Daniel

Ok...Map.pm and Teamviewer.conf are not installed automaticlly, they have to be copied by hand.

Did this also, but still no data visible at the management gui.

Ok, the data is NOT written into the database. The table "teamviewer" has no data.

Any hints?

hi,

Version of server ? If it was v2.6,  have you take special rework plugins ? if yes, plugings correctly installed on server, with the new method ? any errors in agent  and apache log's ?

With my v2.6, TV plugins work's well [(except if computer have  the teamviewer "Quick Support version" )] without copy any files manualy.

Hello,

sorry for the missing infos, server is 2.6, running on openSuSE Tumbleweed.

I've got my plugins from here: https://plugins.ocsinventory-ng.org/

Zip-files unziped and placed at /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/extensions and installed via the "extensions" menu at the gui (described here: https://wiki.ocsinventory-ng.org/10.Plugin-engine/Using-plugins-installer/#using-extension-engine)

No errors in apache or agent log.

Ok, deleted the teamviewer extension via the ocsadmin-gui.

Deleted all files on /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/extensions, copied the extension again to that directory and tried to install it.

Then, I get an error in the apache error log:

[Tue Jul 16 09:17:04.521588 2019] [php7:error] [pid 9261] [client 10.3.1.2:59696] PHP Fatal error:  Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function extension_install_teamviewer() in /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/require/extensions/ExtensionManager.php:167\nStack trace:\n#0 /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/plugins/main_sections/ms_extensionmanager/ms_extensionmanager.php(79): ExtensionManager->installExtension('teamviewer')\n#1 /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/require/header.php(444): require('/usr/share/ocsi...')\n#2 /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/index.php(44): require('/usr/share/ocsi...')\n#3 {main}\n  thrown in /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/require/extensions/ExtensionManager.php on line 167, referer: http://brain/ocsreports/index.php?function=extensionmanager

Any ideas?

Daniel26, if you read the article you mentioned above carefully, you see THREE obligatory steps:

  1.     Installation of the extension package on the Administration server's filesystem;
  2.     Activation of the extension via the Administration console;
  3.     Installation of the extension for the Communication server.
But you did only TWO of them.
You should try the last step.
Just cd to /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/tools, run
sudo python3 install_plugin.py
and follow the dialog tips.

That only copies the Map.pm and the Teamviewer.conf in place (which I did by hand).

Meanwhile I tried a lot and the plugin is installed. But I only get "processing" where the teamviewer data should be displayed.
