Hello Toutafait

Thanks for your help. If I have installed it with administrator permissions. Also try to install the agent for android. and I get "Connect to http ....... / ocsinventory: Refused". Could it be some kind of server error? The server loads me fine. and no error appears. How can I know what the error is? or if I am missing a file? or do I need to install something else?

Thanks,
best wishes

Hello,
from other station you can acces to http://10.0.2.15/ocsinventory. or pinging 10.0.2.15 ?

you can also try this :
edit the file ocsinventory.ini, add/modify this line like this
debug = 2
save file, redo an inventory and post again the contents of the ocsinventory.log file

BUT for me, something wrong with agent, i think that the error on ACL (see my last post wasn't normal, but i'm not sure. older agent have the same problem...so maybie you can try with agent 2.7 or 2.6.
BEFORE try other agent, uninstall if actualy installed AND CLEAN UP residual files/folders

Hello,

I already tried to install an older version of the agent. and I still can't connect to the server. the IP address of my server is 127.0.0.1. lets me ping from console. but I don't know why I can't link.

With the cell phone agent I get: "unable to connect to: ... connection to refused"

Thanks,

Best wishes

Hi,

with old agent, your configuration is not good : Agent try to connect to server with a wrong ip (127.0.0.1 instead of 10.0.2.15) You must change this. you can fix it temporarily, stop ocs Inventory service, edit %programData%\OCS Inventory\Agent\ocsinventory.ini and modify the line serveur with the good ip, restart the service and try to force inventory

Hello

Thanks for your help. I already tried to make the agent connection with both IPs. How do I know which is the correct IP? When I ping the cmd with 127.0.01. it returns the message to me. while with the ip 10.0.2.15 it does not return anything. messages are lost. Have I done something wrong with the server installation? If that's the case, how do I know what's wrong? Would it be better to try to install an older version of the server?

???? if you don't know your ip server, it will harder for you ....

127.0.0.1 is the loopback interface, when you pinging this ip on a computer, this is this computer who answer to him self.

your server must have a least an IP v4 address. On the server enter this cmd :

ip a
Look for line beging like "yyy inet XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX". yyy is the name of interface, and xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is your server ip.

Hello

Thanks for your help. It already confirms that my server ip is 10.0.2.15. Still not working. I ping with 10.0.2.15 and it doesn't return anything. what I do?. Do I try to reinstall the server ?. the server is from a virtual machine. Could this have something to do with it?
