hy, i just tested only the vbs script the first time .. For me it produces a output if i have a mapped drive AND i am starting it as a normal user (just for checking if the script produces some output)

Because only the normal user has mapped the drive .. not the "system user" which is normaly used in ocsinventory.

So i think the root cause is ..that the plugin does not see any mapped drive form "system user"
here is a vbs script to check for active username..now you must find a way to use the username and run the networkshare.vbs code as that user
