Why the hardware ID number changes?

Good morning people.

I want to know why a machine that already have a inventory in the base update the ID number in the hardware table?

The DEVICEID number also updates too.

What is the condition that triggers this changes?

The total machines in the inventory don't change (which is the right thing) but I can't track the TAG changes using a comparisson of the machines in the OCSWEB base whith a previous backup of the same base.

Is there a plugin or other resource that I can use this feature?

Can I talk to someone who works in the criteria of disambigation of the inventory to know more about this situation?
