To start inventory with OCS, I recommand

- knowlegde for creation of Linux Server (and everything as networking, firewalling, space, dns, ...) (I recommand Debian)

- knowledge for MySQL/MariaDB : create database, create users and access rights, (backup)

- knowledge for Apache : conf files, access log file, virtualhost, ...

- knowledge for installation in software on Windows

- knowledge for managing pc : admin local or not, ...

I recommand use Debian and follow some tutorials (there are a lot here) ...

I recommand also read many times OCS wiki, read agent log and server apache log plus inventory.log ...

I recommand use your own brain ...

It's NOT really a 'simple task' for beginners ...

(I installed myself many OCS servers during last 15 years, and I upgrade an OCS server for ~8000 hardware ...)
