404 Not Found Error

Question

I had installed OCS Server and I am able to login into my http://localhost/ocsreports also but when I run ocsinventory-agent I receive the below error message.

sudo ocsinventory-agent
[error] Cannot establish communication : 404 Not Found

Which version of OCS agent and server?

Have you restarted apache after ocs inventory server installation? It seems that the url http://@ip_or_fqdn/ocsinventory is not available.

But I can able to login in

Hi,

Post content of /etc/ocsinventory-agent/ocsinventory-agent.conf file.

Verify that mod_perl apache module is installed and enabled.

There on directory like this

/etc/ocsinventory-agent/ocsinventory-agent.conf

But I have ocsinventory-agent.cfg file in below directory in that file i have only one line

server=192.168.1.10  (My OCSINVENTORY SERVER IP)

File: /etc/ocsinventory/ocsinventory-agent.cfg.

One more thing I would like to know how I installed.

this is the steps i followed for installation

1. apt-get install apache2
2. apt-get install php5
3. apt-get install mysql-server phpmyadmin (Web Server
APACHE2)
4. apt-get install ocsinventory-server ocsinventory-reports
5. apt-get install ocsinventory-agent (Choose -> http, Host
Name)
6. Finally run ocsinventory-agent

For admin login - http://hostname/ocsreports

Your config file is not correct. You should have server=http://192.168.1.10/ocsinventory
