How does the agent update the ocs server?

Hi, I'm using ocs agent version 2.1.1. How does the agent update? Do I need to put it on CRON or run like a daemon? How often does it update? How does it update the software on the ocs server? Does it overwrite the data already contained in the OCS server? UPDATE [mysql] or INSERT a new? Do you have any validation to know if the data is already registered?

Bonjour a tous,

Je me pose aussi la meme question à quoi sert la rubrique "Administrer les clients OCS-NG" qui se situe dans configuration ---> client

Car je suis à la recherche d'une méthode simple via OCS pour mettre mes agent OCS à jour car j'ai des machines qui ne sont pas sur le domaine donc impossible via GPO.

Il me semble que sur mon ancienne version d'ocs serveur il mettait a jour tous seul les agent ...

Hi,

Sorry for the delay of the answer. By default a cron task named "ocsinventory" is created in /etc/cron.d. If agent inventory has changed then ocs server update informations in database. No new insert is made for that computer.
