How to blacklist specific PCs from being discovered by IPDiscovery function.

I am running OCS 2.1.1 on windows 2008 and overall it is operational and working well managing our inventories.

I read under the CONFIG how I can blacklist specific MAC-IDs for invalid or VM type reasons and sounded promising to meet my objective to exclude specific PC's from ever being touched by OCS.

I tested by deleting, the PC from inventory, then the OCS client software from a specific PC and added its MAC to the blacklist but after IPDiscovery was ran, it found and updated the PC back into inventory.

Should this be the method to block specific client PC's and I tested wrongly or is their another approach to follow? Does the blacklist work as I need it or ??
