how to spot a computer with OCS

hello there,

i work for the IT in a school where a laptop have been stolen by someone. The laptop have been stolen he as 5 months ago.

But now, the laptop have been detected by the OCS IP DISCOVER function in our network.

we suposed the computer is used by a teacher which won't get back the computer to the IT service after use.

do you think OCS can alert me or e-mail me as soon as the computer is detected again ?  The last detection of that computer was in December 2016.

Hello,

OCS Inventory NG is not designed to alarm events.

I'm  sorry, but I don't know how to use OCS inventory NG to help you in your situation.
