What happens with data after update OCS server?

Hello,

Recently I have updated OCS Server to the newest version and I was wondering what happens with collected data before updating. Do I lost them permanently? Where OCS is collecting them?

inventory daata was stored in mysqdl(maridab) database - nothing gets lost

Hi

I suggest dump a DB before instalation, it's quite easy:

repleace " " fields with your data (write it without  " " of course) for loging to mysql

from shell:

mysqldump -u "ocs" -p "YOURPASSWORDfor OCSuserINmysql" > /home/"localuser"/ocsweb.sql

all works fine, I tried it moving server data to other machine....
