Agent 2.1.1.3 and Windows XP - empty ocsinventory.ini

Question

Hy, i wanted to deploy the new agent 2.1.1.3 for all Windows Clients - but it looks like that the version 2.1.1.3 does not create a complete ocsinventory.ini on Windows XP Clients (with sp3) in

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OCS Inventory NG\Agent

I tried manual installation - and also a deplyoyment via ocslogon (also version 2.1.1.3)

Agent will be installed without errorcode - but no service will be installed and no ocsinventory.ini will be written.

 

so i tried older versions.

Version 2.1.1.2 also didn't work
Version 2.2 Alpha also did not work on Windows XP (Internal Version 2.1.1.4)
But 2.1.1.1 will work

Can anyone reproduce this ?

here is a part of the verbose log from manula installation of agent 2.1.1.3

Checking if service OCS Inventory Service is registered into Windows Service Manager...No

If a start from the command line the following command

ocsinventory.exe /SAVE_CONF

i will get immediatly a graphical windows with the following errorcode

C:\Program Files\Ocsinventory Agent\OCSInventory.exe is not a valid win32 application

 

With Version 2.1.1 verything works like expected

(no error message)
