Ubuntu 12.04 OCS 2.2 was great but 14.04 no working...

Hi

I know a lot of questions with new linux versions and OCS problems but nowhere clear answer...

I used long time OCS server 2.2 installed on Ubuntu 12.04 it was perfect but someday I had good idea upgrade to 14.04. Of course upgrade without errors OCS works but no inventoring, no new entries in activity.log. No apache, ocs, mysql, perl and other log errors. After 3 days fight I installed new fresh virtual Ubuntu 14.04 & OCS but same situation all OK but no inventoring no new entries no errorlogs....

Just agent say error 404

Someone can help me?

Hi,

Can you check if you have mod perl properly installed ?

Did you check if your ocs apache config file are properly loaded after your ubuntu upgrade ?

Hi Gilles, I could not find a problem with mod perl, everything looked OK for me ???

At the moment I use OCS 2.2 instaled on Fedora 23 & Mariadb is OK no any problems, only Mariadb required manual configuration.

I am having the same problem

Ubuntu 14.04
OCSNG_UNIX_SERVER-2.2
Perl v5.18.2
Apache/2.4.7
PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.14 (cli)

Result in Apache2 access.log

"POST /ocsinventory HTTP/1.1" 404 444 "-" "OCS-NG_WINDOWS_AGENT_v2.1.0.3"

(same for the new agent)

Path for IP Discovery /var/lib/ocsinventory-reports/ipd
Nothing in the network gets detected.

I am suspect different path or variables in 14.04 configuration especially apache?

Fedora 23 works OK for me.

When I add

Alias /ocsinventory /path

in sites-available 000-default.conf file i'm getting a 301 and 403 error.
So it might be, if the right path in there, that my problem is solved.
I tried different paths without succes.
