Problem with tar.gz format version 2.2 

When extracting the files out the below error in debian 8

root@ocs:/#tar -xzvf OCSNG_UNIX_SERVER-2.2.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

in OCS Inventory NG server for Unix by (140 points)
