IPDISCOVER settings not available in config

Hello,

I can't find the ipdiscover settings in the related menu entry.

How can I setup the subnets?

Thank you.

Hello,

I had a fellow setup a server for OCS.

Now I'd like to use the IPDISCOVER function in order to configure the subnets to be checked for clients.

According to the documentation I am supposed to find, in the 'Config' -> 'Ipdiscover' a way to specify the subnets:

Click on “Config” menu and then on “Subnet names” menu to manage your sub networks (extract from the documentation).

Unfortunately such an option is not available (see the attached image), so I'd like to understand why it is not.

Thank you.

Hi,

"ipdiscover" discovers your network. All discovered networks are managed in "Network/Ipdiscover" tab not in "Configuration / Ipdiscover" tab. The documentation is not up to date.

Hello,

in that tab as well there is no way to manage the subnets.

If I cannot define the subnets how is IPDISCOVER supposed to work?

Thank you

eventually I have managed to add the needed subnets.

Thank you.

On the server you have a perl script named ipdisccover-util.pl. Use this script to scan differents networks. Read the documentation here => http://wiki.ocsinventory-ng.org/index.php?title=Documentation:Ipdiscover#Script_to_scan_IP_address

I'll ask my fellow, who is the server admin to go for it.

As I don't have access to the CLI, is there any way to run it from the web interface?

Perhaps a plugin or so?

Thank you

No way to run manually from the web interface and there is no plugin doing that.
Install the agent on a machine on the network you want to inventory or use ipdiscover-util.pl script to discover your networks.
