Problem with SNMP

Hello,

I need a clear guide to configure SNMP scan in my network. IP discover works without problem. But SNMP don't report anything.

The version of UNIX agent is 2.10.0.

From the host which the agent is installed, I can request into my network device with snmpget, and they response correctly. So, I understand that my SNMP communities configuration is OK.

Manage > Network scan > Administer subnet IP address: 192.168.1.0 Netmask: 255.255.255.0

Manage > Network scan > Manage SNMP communities > version:2c name:micomunidad

Configuration > SNMP configuration > Type configuration Type:minetwork  Label:Device_Info 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0

All computers > 192.168.1.25 > Configuration > Edit > Network Scans >

IPDISCOVER: 192.168.1.0

SNMP_SWITCH: ON

SNMP_NETWORK: 192.168.1.0/24

I don't know where the problem is, but I have been 3 days with it and I don't progress.

Thank you in advanced

Hi,

my company has developed more than 60 exclusive plugins for OCS (predictive maintenance, supervision, helpdesk & IT support, status summary, multiple SNMP device type, geolocation of Windows machines, etc.)

If you want more information, please contact me privately.

Hello,

Did you check the logs of your SNMP agent to see whether it is actually performing the scan?
I recommend checking the logs—if the agent is running the scan correctly, you should see lines like this:
[Tue Apr 22 15:29:56 2025][debug] [snmpscan] Scanning 172.21.0.103 device
If there are no SNMP scan logs, make sure the SNMP module is enabled in the /etc/ocsinventory/modules.conf file
