SMART counter reading disk [closed]

Hi,

a good feature for ocs is to add SMART counter reading disk

I'm affraid I've missed something, understand that path shall and on upper folder but what about searching for smart.ini? Maybe  you have see'n such a part of script in some known plugin for OCS?

Indeed, with the obligatory presence of CrystalDiskInfo software, your solution remains interesting only in your case ...

It is a big machinery to retrieve something basic enough simple !

I just tried your CrystalDiskInfo software with my hardware :

There are many values reported for PowerOnCount in Smart.ini but they are not good.

In this case, you have to find something else ...

Please tell me, didn't you tested it on ssd drive? Because from my expirience i know some of them are just couting time of there real activity read/write and than more reliable are parametres of total read/write.....

Sorry,

it's PowerOnHours value and not PowerOnCount !

> The same value is in PowerOnHours​.cvs file : 2018/01/21 13:10:50,5655

In my case, it works for SSD and HDD !

yes, smartctl on Linux... and on Windows ? (cf. "C:\Program Files (x86)\CrystalDiskInfo")

Thanks Guys,

I've checked it, and it looks like smartmontools is better , lighter and also has preapared PS script to send info via email. So I've got another Job, change CrystalDisk on all PC's for smartmontools and configure it.....
