Agent sends the report ok, but nothing appears in the web console. Version 2.3

Hi,

I don't have any errors in the apache's error log. The agent sends the report ok, but nothing is showed in the console. No errors.

The only thing I can see, is the success connection in the apache's access log:

I have spent several hours with this software (installing on differente linus versions) with the same results. I hope you can help me, but I fear that I will have to choose another softwaresolution.

Hello everyone,

First, thanks for your answers, and allow me to make you a thought.

After reviewing the forum, many people have similar problems with the installation process in linux, which leads me to the conclusion that the installer is not well conceived, or at least not well explained.

If a lot of people have trouble getting it up and running, for me, the software is not clarifying what problems are.

The installation guide do not say anything that you have to create a virtual host, or enable extra settings in apache ... etc. Those things should be done by the installer, or unless the installation guide makes it clear.

Do not get me wrong, this software is very good, but it bothers me the effort that is made to create it, and then people can not use it because it is either not well documented or has to perform extra tasks to get it going Which do not appear in the installation guide.

I know this happens often when using open software.

I have tried it on several linux servers, ubuntu 14.04, 16.04. With php5 and php7, and the agent communicates, but nothing appears on the console. There agent comunicates ok,  no errors in apache, no errors in mysql, it simply does not report.

It's a shame really.

Since I can not spend more time on this, I had to opt for a payment option, which logically worked the first time ... next ... next ... next.

Go to Config/Server, the option is located at bottom of the page.

Thanks, it's already "on"...

I have always the error 301 in apache2 logs...

I've changed the name of my directory to /var/www/ocs/ instead of /var/www/ocsinventory, but nothing changed.

Il s'agit quand même d'une erreur récurrente sur OCS : 301...

I also faced the same problem, tried various solutions. I put the contents of the file ocsinventory.log and apache access.log. When I installed OCS Inventory Server, I have all items set default, and then just copied the directory "ocsreports" /var/www/html/ What did I do wrong?

Hi @gretnev_a

The url you set in ocsinventory.ini is not correct. You must have http://192.168.56.101/ocsinventory. Change to this url and redo an inventory.
