"Error code 1053" OCS agent not communicate

Question

Hi,

Installed agent in Windows client, but it is not communicating with server. Getting below error, can any one help for me.

"Failed sending control message to OCS inventory Service... Error code 1053 = The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"

Hi Nagesh,

I have the same problem and this is a solution to resolve this issue:

1. Change hosts files (C:\Windows\System32\drive\etc...)

ip address     ocs_server

2. Re-install OCS Inventory Agent with Server URL: http://ocs_server/ocsreports
